Jul 27, 2010 - Pensacola, Florida, United States - A tourist holds a tar ball in his hand on the white sand beaches of Pensacola Tuesday. Waves of gooey tar blobs were washing ashore in growing numbers on the white sand of the Florida Panhandle Tuesday as slicks from the BP spill continue to drift ashore. The tar balls came ashore after prevailing winds died and were replaced with heavy onshore winds. The tar balls washed up 15 feet at Pensacola Beach, which is already suffering from massive vacation cancellations. BP halted cleanup crews after a tropical storm threat but have reinstated efforts this week..(Credit Image: © Marianna Day Massey/ZUMA Press)
